Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Putnam Heights Elementary School, a PAW-sitive place to learn and grow. As Putnam Heights Principals, we want to let you know that our school is an excellent place to be! All of us at Putnam Heights want you to feel like you truly belong, and that your child can learn and grow here!
Putnam Heights is located in Eau Claire and serves over 400 students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. Although our school is located within the city, we serve families from a larger geographical area than any other elementary school in the district. Some of our students live right in our neighborhood and can walk to school. Others live in rural areas south of the city or in neighboring small towns. Others live in various neighborhoods throughout the city and come to Putnam for some of the specialized programming we provide. This is the perfect recipe for a diverse school community!
We deliver a guaranteed and viable curriculum to meet the needs of all students and implement the core features of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. Additionally, we are a Responsive Classroom program school, which focuses on developing students’ skills of CARES - cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, empathy, and self-control.
We are fortunate to have outstanding staff at Putnam Heights. Our highly qualified staff pride themselves on serving the whole child. They are dedicated, participating in many outside events and activities such as the ice cream social, family nights, and our multi-cultural fair. Our strong and positive culture is critical to our success as an elementary school!
Putnam Heights Elementary School is committed to our mission, vision, values and goals. We ensure learning for all by providing guidance and resource programs, challenge opportunities and progress monitoring of all students to help us meet that mission. We provide an equal opportunity for learning by respecting the student's individual needs for education, by instilling values and the importance of continual learning, which is made possible through the cooperative efforts of motivated students, dedicated staff, caring families, and an involved community. We invite you to be part of our learning community. Please visit us on Facebook, or better yet, stop in and visit us in person. You are sure to get a warm welcome!
